CCC MP Tafadzwa Ngadziore abducted, tortured, injected with unknown substance

CCC legislator Tafadzwa Ngadziore was Wednesday abducted by armed men suspected to be state security agents who reportedly assaulted and later dumped him some 50 km north of Harare, his party said.
The 25-year-old lawmaker posted a live video on Facebook showing a man running towards him with a rifle before it cut off after seven seconds.
He was later found near mine shafts in the village of Mazowe naked, badly assaulted and injected with an unknown substance, said CCC chief whip in parliament Amos Chibaya.
“Ngadziore was this morning on his way to parliament abducted and tortured at gunpoint,” Chibaya told journalists Wednesday.
Party spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi confirmed the abduction, adding that they were going to file a police report.
Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi said “I am yet to get that report” whe he was reached for comment.
Zimbabwe’s government spokesman did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
The incident came barely a week after former CCC MP James Chidhakwa was abducted in almost similar style and later dumped, again after reportedly having been injected with an unknown substance.
